New Toy Feeling

There is something about getting a new toy, even for us grown-ups or semi-grown up people. It gives us such joy, such feeling, such excitement. You could argue that capitalism is at fault, or that we have been brainwashed by consumerism, but it's still exciting to see your future develop around your eyes.

You just know that the toy won't be as much fun once you've played with it, and eventually you will be left with the desire for a bigger and badder toy. But for now, the night before getting the toy, your eyes glimmer with hope and pride, and all you can think: wow that's going to mine—all mine! You're not going to have my toy.

It's terrible to feel this way. I'm adult and so are you. But I sure like to play, and play at first will be so much fun. I just imagine all the possibilities with my new toy: be it camping, going on icy and snow covered roads without fear of getting stuck, or just driving around in the woods. Maybe it's silly or irrational to feel this way, but I just can't wait!

All mine! All mine! If you ask nicely though, I might take you for a ride. The joys of the new toy.
