Be a self advocate, but remember humanity.

Our Own Worst Enemy: Personal reflection on what it means to be an individual and my experience of the world around me.

Narcissism

"Your so vien, you probably think this song is about you." Carly Simon once sang that about her supposedly very narrastic husband. While I don't personally know the fellow, he doesn't seem like a nice person to be around.

The narristist insists that he is somehow superior to everybody else. He might believe so because he has more money, more clout, or believes he has superior character to you and I. Those kind of people just aren't the kind you necessarily want to be around.

We all have weaknesses. Some of are insecure. Others lack money or political clout. Not to mention many othe weaknesses. We have to all be humble and realize that nobody has flaws. Some of the greatest people in our history had very serious flaws, but they overcame it become great.

Now I don't believe that I'm superior to you or anybody else. And I don't believe you should think you are better then me. We should not pass judgment, but embrace each other for the goodness of our selves. We are all individuals, but we must also remember our neighbors and our friends.
