A New Year, A New Chance: A few resolutions for the new year as I continue to change as an individual.

I'm ready to give up,
to throw my head in my hands,
and walk away from the system
not wanting to make a spectales of myself.
I am right, and I know this is so.
Precedence is on my side, but
such precedence is meaningless
in a society governed by paranoia.
I could win, and probably will
but is the risk worth it? The
odds are seemingly always against
the individual.
Free to do what he pleases
on the saddest day of my life.
But it will be over, there will
finally be closure, and the ability
to return to be my normal self.
6 months have passed,
and there have been a 180 days of self-denial.
It could be over, but it would
be a tragity for myself and all of mankind.
But I could go on,
live my life in farm or forest,
contemptful of all the organized religon around me.
But religion is just that—
a bunch of doctrines that crazy people subscribe to.
The new and better life will come,
as I can see it now,
with every step I take. I've
redefined my world and
challenged it in new ways to
find my new self.
And in another six months,
it will be started.
And as they say in NASCAR:
GENTLEMEN START YOUR ENGINES!
