About This Blog: Information and history of the NY Cowboy.org blog.
Challenge of the Aging Website: Less time, more content, and the need to modernize strains.
Changing Blogsphere: Keeping a blog up to date can be a real challenge.
If I Had Wings: Reasons that I like working on my blog.
New York Cowboy Slogans: Some ideas on what would be a good slogan for this website.
People Read My Blog: I'm surpised how many people wrote my when my blog was down.
Why I Roll My Own Blog: Having your own blog rather then relying on Kuro5hin.org and others has many benefits.
The next few months I will be leaving my job and getting out and exploring both our great state and beyond. Updates to this blog will be less frequent, but hopefully the quality of my experiences and new stories to tell will benefit the blog.
I will be volunteering on a variety of campaigns, traveling out to western New York, visiting the finger lakes, and then going out to Arizona to see my grandmother and some of the sites out there. I will get to ride on an airplane for the first time, and see the west first hand (abit with my parents).
I will frequently be on the road and not necessarily next to my computer all of the time. I have great excitement about this trip, but it will require some changes to the blog. To make this all possible, I am cutting back on the frequency of blogging.
I do plan weekly fodder articles to be posted on Wednesday and “re-runs” of old fodder articles I've written on Mondays. Sometimes on Friday, if I feel there is something important to talk about I will be posting an additional fodder article.
Enjoy your summer, and expect more frequent updates starting in the mid-December or early-January.
