Northview Diary has some interesting things on how the rain is effecting that farm and a picture of the Mohawk flooding a great deal of land including a really good quality corn field in the flood plain, in a time when corn is doing so badly due to all the rain we've gotten lately.
Down in Northern Tioga County a little way from Ithaca, Rooster Hill Farm's Journal is purty muddy, but up high enough so not to worry too much about flooding. That said mud can make a real mess getting vechicles of all sorts stuck not to mention sliding around and getting kicked by a variety of animals.
Though if you look at the top of that blog at the pictures of Binghamton and Owego, you have to realize in general the damage of flooding to cities and towns is a lot greater then farms, even in low-lying area if only because things are built up more. Certainly many farmers are living on the margin, but fields can relatively easily be re-plowed and planted, abit not for corn or other high value crops this year.
