It looks like the state will be reworking the Champion International agreement that will preserve the leases to several hunting camps that otherwise would have been burnt to ground. The new agreement protects the camps on one arce leased parcels, though is opposed by environmentalists who claim that it would deminish what the state has purchased despite already paying for the land, and (gasp!) encourage ATV and snowmobile use in the Adirondacks.
