Those lyrics from Peter, Paul, and Mary's 27 year old hit song, El Salvador seem very fitting as we reach a milestone in the War in Iraq. We've been their four years, and it's been little more then just a tragedy for all involved.
We are seeing more of our boys and girls coming home in body bags. Forever removed from our world, prevented from forever contributing again their greatness to our society. They made the ultimate sacrifice and can not give any more. We've paid hundreds of billions from our community to make their suicide missions possible.
I stood out on the streets both today and yesterday in remembrance of these people's sacrifices. I continue to work to bring awareness to the war that seems to be non-ending. We protest and protest, and push our leaders to do better. But they seem to ignore us.
My thoughts on Four Years in Iraq.
