Individual No. 88

Another Great Night Out.

I got out of work at a reasonable hour tonight so I was happy. I went for a hike along the Normanskill, as you can read in the Outblog. I also filled up my truck yesterday with gas for $57.67 (ouch!), and got a jackhandle for the truck.

Currently I am parked in the city, and I will take my truck home the next night I have to stay late at work. Rumor has it that I will likely be stuck at work until late into the night tommorow. That's okay, long hours to be expected this time of year with the business I am in.

I just wish I didn't have to spend the long hours indoors. But soon session will be over, and all will be good.

I'm looking forward to Clearwater coming up on June 21-22 down in Croton on Hudson. I will be working all weekend at the Bethlehem Neighboors for Peace Booth. I also will be helping run a booth at the Bethlehem High School Peace Fair on Thursday. Should be fun.

The mosquitoes are out tonight as I sit at the library. Enjoy it!

Howdy.

It's the evening once again, and time to reflect upon a few songs. I got out of work at around 6:45 and it's a cloudy rainy evening, with not much going on.

I took the bus home again and left my truck in the city. I hate driving in the city, and I didn't mind waiting a few extra minutes for the bus, just to avoid having to take my truck in tomorrow or Friday (whenever I might need it to stay late).

I have to do an oil change this weekend. I'm not going out of town, as I will probably be doing some petitioning on Saturday and maybe go up to my parents house on Saturday night.

I need to buy oil for my truck. The last time I did an oil change, they where still playing Bobby Helm's Jingle Bell Rock on the radio. But alas, I've only driven 3,200 miles since December, mostly being long weekend trips. It's summer and time for a oil change I think (and a new filter).

Now on to some music. Love the fact that now I have the capacity to link mp3 music and share my feelings in music.

Peter Paul and Mary's Great Mandella—one of the greatest protest songs of all times. I'm feeling socially conscience tonight.

A little bit more upbeat. Chris Cagle's What Kind of Gone.

Have a good evening.

A Hot Weekend.

Yes the humidity is back up there as is the heat. We had temperatures that feel close to 100 °F all weekend. There is not a lot one can necessarily do about that, but I don't mind it that much—it's just part of life.

Up in Renselearville today it was much cooler then it is now down in Delmar. Honestly the heat hasn't bothered me too much, I'm kind of use to it. I don't have air conditioning in my apartment or my truck, I use a fan to stay cool.

It poured in Rensselearville today as a massive t-storm came through. I sat in my truck up at Partridge Run and waited for it to stop. It finally stopped. I am happy.

I was at my parents house on Saturday night. I spent a lot of time in the creek, some time listening to podcasts and sitting by the campfire, and slept in my truck down by the creek. I also changed my oil in my truck, my airfilter, and my tire is now under the truck, after getting the new jackhandle.

I am happy with everything. Can't believe I've already used about a 1/3 of my gasoline since putting in $57 in gas last week. Then again, gas is $4.10 a gallon and I've driven nearly 100 miles since the last fillup. So it makes sense to have used about $20 in gas.

At my parents farm I helped them with the goats and in the garden. In the exchange they helped me by letting me burn off the two bags of trash I had, so I didn't have to spend time sorting it or paying $1/bag at the transfer station some 10 miles from my apartment and away from anywheres I'd want to go.

Last night was such a beautiful night. I sat out by the campfire until 2 AM, listening to podcasts, and just generally having a nice evening. The weather was spectacular.
