Turn, Turn, Turn. That's the words that Pete Seeger made famous in 1962, and that the Byrds made famous 43years ago during the autumn of 1965 with a folk-rock melody that in many ways changed the world and defined a generation.
Turn, Turn, Turn - The Byrds
That song remained number one in the nation for three weeks in Decmeber 1965, outweighing all of the other holiday and other songs on the radio. It's meaning was not lost, and probably was essential in getting the anti-war movement into motion.
I heard it on the radio on the way to work on the bus. I sat back and listened and felt many of my beliefs as an individual reinforced. It made me think why I do all that do, and why I fight for progressive change.
And it reminds me of my weekend plans. Hope to see Pete at Clearwater this year. P'Link
Clearwater Festival This Weekend. I'm looking forward to attending it and will be working throughout the weekend at the Bethlehem Neighboors for Peace Booth.

I'm leaving work at noon-time on Friday and going down with a number of other activsits at BNP. I will be camping out during the weekend and hope to grab some more photos to add to the collection. See last year's festival photos.

Packing My Bags. I'm getting ready for the Clearwater Festival down on Croton on Hudson. I was planning to go to work half day today, but I decided I had too much stuff to pack on up and get ready.
It should be great fun. I'm leaving at 1 PM and going to be camping there until Sunday. Stop by the BNP booth—it would be nice to say a friendly hi. Yes, I will have my black or white stetson on depending on my mood and the temperature conditions. P'Link
