It's Monday. This week is my last one at CDPHP's Business Transformation Readiness divisioon where we plan Corporate Stragety. Next week I start downtown at the NYS Assembly. It will be so nice to be back downtown, working in government.
This week I plan to continue to work on my truck cap, as described below. I also need to find some time to do an oil change either this week or next. I'm hoping to have it all but the carpeting done by this weekend.
Next weekend, Saturday to Monday, I'm going to Plattsburgh and the North Country to do some hiking, visiting old friends, photography and just relaxing. It should be great fun. My plans were extended an extra day, as Monday is a State Holiday (Columbus Day).
Other then that, have fun. P'Link
Our Web Traffic Numbers. Figuring that DIA released his web traffic numbers, I figured I better to likewise on Cowboy. So here they are for September 2007.
Maximum Visits Per Day: 736 (Sept 29)
Total Unique Sites Visting: 3,429
Total visits: 13,816
Total Pages: 40,896
A visit is defined as the series of pages looked at within a single viewing session per IP address. (ie. if somebody comes to the site in the morning and in the night and loads five web pages—it counts as two visits in that day).
Total unique sites visiting is the number of people accessing our site from unique IP addresses. This could be considered a rough description of how many different people actually visit the site in the month.
NYC does very good for search engines and for people finding us via search engines. It does less well for repeat visits, but it shows that we are certainly in good competition with other popular web logs like DIA. P'Link
Four Days From Now I'll Be Sitting in Plattsburgh. That's when I will be going up there on my early October camping trip. I can just see Lake Champlain with fall colors, and a nice refreshing breeze blowing by. It will be nice.
Then two days of camping, including hiking Pok-O-Moonshine and going hiking around Point Au Roche. This weekend will be extended from Saturday to Monday, as Tuesday is a state a holiday. Lots of photos. Lots of fresh air. Lots of driving around and photographing the Adirondacks, turning leaves, and North Country farmlands. And lots of fun. P'Link
A Week from Now I'll Be Starting My Job At the Assembly. I am very excited and it should be a very interesting Tuesday, getting started at a great new opportunity. P'Link
Hump Day. So it is. That means that Saturday is coming quickly, when I go up North. And then there is Tuesday, when I start my new job. And, let's not forget Albany County Young Democrats on Thursday night.
Yesterday, I got my hair cut nice and short. It's a lot shorter now, and nicer, without all those pesky curls that I really do not like. I got it done at Walmart, which was convient (where else can you buy motor oil, a filter, and get your hair cut ?), but a bit expensive at $15. I also shaved back and trimmed my beard so that it looks neat. Getting cleaned up for my new job on Tuesday.
Today's fodder will be on Mr. Ransom, a former agriculture / shop teacher at Greenville High School. I am rethinking my thoughts about him and I thought it would be interesting to discuss him on our blog.
Dave Bryant goes off to prison with many unanswered questions. More to be discussed on that later. And some other stories about politics and other things will be coming this afternoon. P'Link
It's the Weekend. Enjoy it—I'm off to Plattsburgh tomorrow, and my job at CDPHP is now finished up. They gave me some nice presents on the way out, and it was great fun. I can't wait until I start at the Assembly on Tuesday.
Although this means I can't go out to Iowa and romp around in the west working on a presidential campaign. Of course it doesn't look like Jonathan Edwards doesn't have a prayer, and Hillary will be the....our candidate. And that's a big bummer the more I think about it. But at least, doing this gets me paid and health insurance. And it's not a lifetime commitment either.
And yes, for some reason I really like this myspace video. Cowboy hats, a fantastic Texan accent, pistols, and ventilating burn barrels. I mean how can you go wrong? Doesn't that look like fun and make you want to move out to Texas, or at least get a pistol permit. P'Link
