Individual No. 60

Good Morning.

Now that was weekend. The Young Democrats conference out in Manchester, New Hampshire was awesome, and I can't wait to get back to that great state to help out with the John Edwards for President campaign.

I love canvasing, discussing and arguing about politics, and even best, walking up on the floor of a girl's hotel room after a night of attending a bunch of receptions with way too powerful Young Democrats. That was great. The Molly Stark trail was so beautiful on the way out there with fresh snow covering the mountains.

I mean, can you go wrong with a state that when you enter has a great sign that says:

Under 18 Seat Belts Required:
Common Sense for All

The weather is beautiful out today, even if it's only 28 °F out and will only be getting up 41 °F. Hopefully you'll be going home for thanksgiving, and you bagged a deer over the weekend.

And I've been spending a lot of time listening to Garth's new song—More then A Memory. I mean, Garth, good lyrics, and reference to playing with fire. Can you beat that?

People say she's only in my head
It's gonna take time but I'll forget
They say I need to get on with my life
They don't realize

It's when you're dialing 6 numbers just to hang up the phone
Driving cross town just to see if she's home
Waking a friend in the dead of the night
just to hear him say it's gonna be alright
When you're finding things to do not fall asleep
Cause you know she'll be there in your dreams
that's when she's
more than a memory

Took a match to everything she ever wrote
watched her words go up in smoke
tore all her pictures off the wall
that ain't helping me at all

Have a good Monday, and you either need to listen to WGNA for that song or download it from the IRC channel #mp3country on newyork.ny.us.undernet.org:6667.

Life can't get any better.

Happy Black Friday!

I hope you had a good day off, and if you had black Friday off, it also was a good day for you too. I was fortunate enough to have today off, as it was an holiday where I work.

Today, after months of searching, I rented an apartment in Delmar near Delaware Avenue and Elm Avenue. I will be moving in during the next few weeks.

It was a little more then I wanted to spent, but still well within my budget. Most nice about it is that it near both the Route 18 and Route 19 bus stops, so I can take either the Voorheesville Express bus if I get out of work a little after 5 PM and don't have to stay late. I hate commuting and in particular driving in the city—I'd CDTA do my driving.

It's also close to the Delmar library so I can get my Wi-Fi connection as necessary, and the Hilltowns I so love. It also allows me to get the events I want to be with minimal driving to the city. At the same time, it's safer then living in the city, and I don't have to do any winter driving anymore if I don't like it. Did I mention, off-street parking.

I also renovated the blog with a new look, that I kind of like. I have been extensively testing it on a variety of browsers, and trying to make this new design the one I keep. But who knows—I still am a big fan of the bright yellow and brown design of yesteryear. But change is good.
