Thanksgiving is now officially over. And I'm really tired too boot with a list that probably goes on way too long. There simply is too many things to do in this final week.
There is the whole Green Energy Initative thing at the college that I'm working to organize and get done. There's the FOIL request that I'm going to have to appeal as the college failed to get me the information on solid waste generation and recycling in a timely fashion. There's the Asian Philosophy paper to write. There's six-rolls of film to develop.
The weekend really was quite nice. I got to see the new (shy) dog. We had lots of turkey. I took lots of pictures, and got see some amazingly beautiful country in Vermont and New York State. Watched a bunch of shows on the History Channel about the Kennedy assasination. Drank some beer, ate some pie. Made some money working. Nothing too productive though—and forgot about all my reall responsibilties.
Went to a the Kirsten Gillibrand post-election organizing party for a while today. It's good to see all those people continuing the efforts on after the election, and also the Eliot Spitzer people with the Spitzer Action Network doing some organization. With everything going on, I have to admit I was a bit off-key myself though.
And yes, we are trying more of the annonying Google Ads (again) on New York Cowboy.org. Yes, I hate them with a passion. But I also am paying a lot of money to make this site a reality, and like an occassional $100 check from Google. Sorry. I can probably afford the 25¢ day hosting costs without having to restort to crass advertising of things like political buttons and dairy feed suplements, but somehow I just wish I got something back for my work. We will try it out for a month or two and then re-evaluate.
Consumerism, Solid Waste, and Christmas. It's our second to Last Show. We will be playing lots of Pete Seeger, and also discussing the war.
Tune it. It's 93.9 WQKE Plattsburgh at 11 AM. Less then 10 minutes away.
