Partridge Run Beaver Road. Parked at lower lake, below big hill on Beaver Road. Some fisherman there, so I decided to hike west on road, up big hill. Road was very rutted. Sat by upper pond for a quite a while, just doing some thinking on random things—including the redesign of this website.
Bushwacked North-East, back down to pond. Interesting swamps and stream running down to this area. I actually did not have a compass with me, so I simply followed the one ski trail out to the cross intersection, and followed an old logging trail until it ended in the swamp, and followed another stream back down to the pond.
Later, I went to Tubbs Pond for a little while, to sit and do some writing. Did some hiking around the pond, enjoying the beautiful weather. All told, did about 5 miles of hiking that day. P'Link
Albany Tulip Festival, South Mall. As part of work went to the Tulip Festival. Lots of vendors, although I didn't find too many of them interesting. Walked around the tulips and the whole area several times, enjoying the nice weather.
Later I went to the Empire State Plaza, and walked around the reflecting pools. Still a nice day, but it was clouding up a bit. The plaza was as impressive as usual. P'Link
