Look at it this way: it's more then half over. I haven't posted in a while, so I'll do a very quick run down of what's going on lately.
So far this week has gone fairly well, with a few screw ups here, left and right.
Everything you should know about in about 30 seconds (or 5 minutes of my compliation).
Pataki has raised $2.2 million this year. Pretty good, for having an approval rating in the dumps (ie. mid-30s). Smoking is not only banned in all areas of the LOB, but also in nearby to the building and the parking garage. That said, I hate going through the cloud of smoke near buildings. Smoking rooms are history too. Probably bars will suffer. All after July 26, I believe.
Vermont proposes forcing people to register their canoes to make money. Connecticut is seeing Mountain Lions in it's North-West region near Litchfield. Ozone in likes to grow in sunny rural areas, mold is scary stuff, etc.
Lots of people have been reviewing the new F-150, while Ford's profits have greatly sinked this quarter. This includes Mike Levine's PUTC and Dan Lyons in the TU.
A few quick things to mention about an article I mentioned in the past. Without going into details, it should have been SS not SSR—I got letter happy. I was overly tough on the author and General Motors, not that both deserve criticism. GM is so American, that's all say—and it does a good job of inheriting key American values—oh, and the GM of the 1970s with the X-body isn't the GM of the day. My friend's Silverado is pretty nice truck, I should note too. Sorry, and don't take me so serious folks.
School buses in NY are going to get a lot cleaner, under a some fancy legal agreement known as a memo of understanding. No more stinky black smoke emitting from buses—which is particularly discusting in our cities and suburbs. Plus, hopefully school buses won't reak of diesel as much as in the past.
I asked some people in alt.culture.upstate-ny about if NY dairy farms are poorer, are just run by bigger slobs then other states. There responses were not exactly as informative as one might have hoped. I didn't want a serious respond about agriculture—I was looking more for a cultural discussion. :(
