Partridge Run along Beaver Road. A nice sunny evening after work. Drove out along Bradt Hollow Road. Took a short hike our along ATV/truck trail to the west of road, through old Apple Orchard. Saw a tent, some nice camp gear (not kids?!), and a bunch of empty beer bottles. Nobody was around—I guess they were out getting refills.
Drove down Beaver Road, stopping to walk partialy around both lakes. Got some nice little photos. There is a beaver building a dam on Beaver Road, and partially filled. The beaver was quite unhappy when I drove by, splashing his tail up and down. P'Link
Partridge Run Scout Hike. Hiked with the scouts from Boy's School Road, near the Gravel Pit to Wood Duck Pond, passing 8 ponds on the route. The beaver wasn't there, on Beaver Road, but he had done quite a bit of work on his dam, since the last time I was there. Looked stormy the whole time, kind of in a rush to avoid the storm. A total of 5.5 or so miles for the whole hike. P'Link
