Albany Pine Bush - West Barens White, Blue Trail. Returned to get some pictures of the area and Rapp Road Landfill for some social commentary (didn't bring a camera the first time). Also wanted to have binacolors to get a closer view of the wildlife. No big surpises this time.
I like the part on the white trail, where your up high, and you can see all around—the Heldebergs, the landfill, the Karner water tower, and a generally beautiful view, set in the close up of the Pine Bush. This area is certainly unique ecologically—even if man has done it's part to destroy as much of it as humanly possible (only stopped by some environmentalists—god bless them).
This is a nice area to go to, when I have a little break in the afternoon. I really enjoy hiking around here. Oh, almost got stuck in the parking area—that sand can be nasty stuff under your wheel. P'Link
