Hiked Indian Ladder Trail. No surpises there, except lots of water coming off Minelot Fall. Hiked Escartment trail from Overview Lot to near (draws blank) Cave, which is pass the swimming pool area. Fairly clear out today, decent views. Want to explore near Octogan building at some point in the near future. Found place on corner past pool, had great views of Green Mountains, Empire State Plaza, SUNY Albany, State Office Campus, local farms, etc.
Very open, good view from this area (not sure how to describe it better). Good place to go. Met older women (grandmother age), who was unfamiliar with area, and told her about major landmarks, and little bit about local geology. This reminds me, I also want to go to Bennett Hill in the next couple of weeks to get more views.
